Screening

Chemical addition
Chemicals allow tiny suspended matter fragments to converge and produce "floc." Coagulants are the chemicals employed to do this, and different products are available.
Coagulation

Sedimentation and clarity
Sedimentation and clarity are two phrases that are utilized conversely. After the flocs have assembled, the water is then beaten over a sedimentation basin. The floc particles can gather at the bottom of the basin and be moved to a disposal pond.
Filtration
After the giant particles have been extracted from the water, they will then be screened thru a wide array of media, comprising sand, gravel, or activated carbon, to eradicate surplus tiny undesirable particles.
