A modest retainer reserves supply, while the final payment aligns with the actual timing of an outage. This approach enables operators to plan maintenance with significantly greater certainty without committing substantial capital upfront.

The model also reflects a broader reality in global manufacturing. Supply chains remain under pressure even after the disruptions of recent years. Lead times are longer, and production flexibility is more limited. For power operators, planning ahead is no longer optional—it is essential.
